My Work: I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Haneef in the design, research, and writing phase of two RNS-related projects. The first, published in Clinical Neurophysiology and presented at 2022 AAN Annual Conference in Seattle, focused on the effect of COVID-19 infection and lockdown-related stressors on RNS efficacy. The second, presented at 2022 AAN Annual Conference in Seattle and at the Taub Symposium at BCM, dealt with the question of RNS battery failure and the persistence of seizure control during periods of battery depletion.
Publications: (1) Seizure control during the COVID-19 pandemic: Correlating Responsive Neurostimulation System data with patient reports PMID 35598434
